What they did

Renters describe the home they are looking for in plain language. With AI Contacting turned on, the agent messages properties, asks about details missing from the listing, requests tours and handles follow-up. Renters can review the conversations, take over or switch the feature off at any time. Search draws on data for more than 7 million U.S. rental units.

How it went

About 150,000 people have tried the service since June 2026. Half of message-based contacts with properties were handled by the agent, averaging eight messages per conversation.

Good to know

The figures come from Kaleno itself, in a press release, and count only messages, not phone calls. If you use something similar, review each message before allowing automatic sending.

The prompt

I'm looking for an apartment to rent in [city or neighborhood], up to [amount] per month, with [number] bedrooms, moving in by [date], and I need [pets, parking, laundry, etc.]. Go through the listings on [site], list what each one is missing (fees, lease length, availability, pet policy) and write a contact message for each good option. Don't send anything: show me a table of the [number] best options with the messages ready for me to review.
