What they did

Through Builders, an internal program where employees create solutions for their own areas, Melissa and Filipe built the Career and Performance Platform. It handles forms, reminders, calibrations and reports, suggests tone adjustments to managers' written feedback and ideas for development plans. The technology team steps in when integration with core systems or sensitive data is involved.

How it went

The pilot had 52 users, and the tool is available to about 33,000 employees. The company estimates the automation will free up 3,600 hours of work and says an off-the-shelf solution would cost more than R$ 1.5 million a year. It has not disclosed how much of this has been realized.

Good to know

The AI does not write reviews or make career decisions: people make those calls. Performance reviews are personal data under Brazil's LGPD; limit who has access and explain to employees how AI is used.

The prompt

I work in HR at a company with [number] employees, and we run performance reviews [frequency]. List the steps of the cycle [forms, reminders, calibration, reports] I can automate with a simple tool, what should stay with managers, and a short note explaining to employees how AI will be used.

Replace what is in [brackets]. Prompt written by us from the account, not a literal copy of the source. Do not paste other people’s personal data (privacy laws such as LGPD and GDPR apply).
